Meet T.J. Boeschen - outdoor enthusiast, adventure seeker, business owner, experience enhancer extraordinaire and professional facilitator of FUN! T.J. is a fifth-generation Oregonian who’s warm-hearted welcoming nature and passion for his heritage and home state spill forth in an engaging and entertaining burst of joyous hospitality. His genuine love for guiding will be evident from the moment you are greeted, and while on tour with him you are sure to be entertained by his numerous fun-facts and intriguing tales of adventure while exploring some of the most incredible sights and attractions of the region. His curious and inquisitive nature fuels a sincere interest in getting to know other fellow travelers, which becomes quickly evident in how he strives to connect with and learn from those with whom he shares his tours. Hospitality and concern for others comes naturally as he was raised by a warm family of kind souls who share the common thread of always wanting to make sure all guests (either out touring in nature or at home) feel welcome, well fed, happy and content.
T.J.’s experience as a guide started over 15 years ago in the jungles of Costa Rica, as he guided guests through the wilds of the Osa Peninsula on kayak & hiking tours. He went on to start his own tour company with a friend and business partner, called Infinite Forest, which facilitated educational eco-adventure tours, rafting, zip-lining, jungle treks, horseback riding, surfing, community service projects, cultural exchanges, Spanish language study and homestays throughout Central and South America. This rich experience and many years living abroad in Latin America have allowed him to communicate with guests fluently in both Spanish and English and engage with all cultures around the world in a sensitive, curious, conscious and compassionate way. As one can imagine, T.J. is ecstatic to now be providing the same level of authentic experiences right at home in his beloved Oregon. An avid skier, hiker, biker, kayaker, musician and explorer of wild hidden places here in the Northwest, he always knows how to find the magic in each day and has a true talent for sharing the beautiful details of nature with all those who choose to play in the outdoors with him.
His local native knowledge and lore, a storied pioneer-era family history, an unabashed enthusiastic geologic nerdiness, and his fascination with natural and cultural wonders of the region make him the perfect individual from which to learn about this wonderful state. He kindly ensures that all travelers have a genuinely authentic experience, taking special care to make a personal connection with each and every guest. When adventuring with T.J., you will find that your pleasure is truly his passion! With an open heart and open arms, he can often be found welcoming travelers from around the globe into our wider Northwest family which he shares with his equally adventurous wife, Eryn and many other family members who have chosen to remain here in Oregon over the generations. Eryn and T.J. have recently welcomed their first child, Jamison Eugene (Jami) into the world and he is being quickly introduced to the mountains, rivers, lakes, forests and coast through their family adventures! Jami loves being outside (surprise, surprise) and is the greatest joy that mom and dad have ever known! Through the exploration of nature, music, travel, art, food, culture, and a perpetual quest to see “what’s around the next bend in the proverbial river of life”, T.J. strives to live life to its fullest, wear his heart on his sleeve (wise words of advice from his grandmother) and build connections with his own local community and the wider global community as well.
